Set business details, logo, and defaults
Control the identity, default wording, quote validity, and file naming used by your invoices.
What you’ll accomplish
Saved business settings and a verified logo, with clear expectations for when defaults apply.
Before you start
- InvoiceWrench opens in your Shopify shop.
- Have your business contact details and approved default payment wording.
- For a logo, use a PNG, JPG, or WebP file no larger than 5 MB. SVG is unsupported.
1. Enter your business identity
Open Settings
Select Settings from the app navigation. Under Business information, review Business name, Business address, Business phone, and Business email.
Save text changes
Enter the details that should appear on invoices and choose Save settings. Wait for the confirmation rather than leaving while the page says Unsaved changes or Saving settings….
2. Upload, replace, or remove a logo
Select a supported image
In Business branding, choose Choose a logo, then Upload logo. With an existing image, the controls become Choose a replacement logo and Replace logo.
Check Current logo
Wait for upload confirmation and verify that the intended image appears under Current logo. If it fails, review the error and check file type and size.
Remove only when intended
Choose Remove logo to clear the logo from the business settings. This action saves immediately.
3. Set document defaults
Choose quote validity
Under Invoice defaults, choose Default quote validity: No default, 7 days, 14 days, 30 days, 60 days, or 90 days.
Enter reusable wording
Set Default payment terms and Default invoice notes if needed. Review the wording carefully, then choose Save settings.
Check a current invoice
Open an order or draft invoice and check how your defaults appear. Invoice-specific values can override defaults, so an existing customized document may retain its own wording.
4. Check appearance and filenames
Invoice appearance is managed in Templates. Settings holds business details, the logo, and filename formats; template controls determine layout, colors, visibility, and logo sizing.
Review PDF downloads
Check Order PDF filename format and Draft order PDF filename format under PDF downloads. Use the sample filename previews and Available placeholders before saving.
Verify the actual output
Download an invoice after saving the settings and inspect the file. Filename previews use sample data, while actual downloads use the selected invoice or saved version.
