Edit, disable, and re-enable pricing

Make focused price changes, understand save progress, and stop a discount without mistaking it for a price rollback.

Development preview. Steps are source-reviewed, not fully live-tested. Available app captures illustrate selected screens.

What you’ll accomplish

You can update a product, interpret partial save results, and deliberately disable or re-enable its PriceWrench discount.

Before you start

  • Have a product already configured in PriceWrench.
  • Record the current Shopify Price and your intended MAP and Customer prices before changing them.
  • For edits and re-enabling, confirm an active plan and any required product allowance.

Read the product's status

Use the PriceWrench status filter on Home to focus on the rows you need. Shopify's Active, Draft, and Archived statuses are separate product-publishing states.

  • Configured: the saved configuration currently passes the app's pricing checks.
  • Not configured: no saved pricing configuration is present.
  • Disabled: PriceWrench pricing has been deliberately disabled for that product.
  • Needs attention: the app found an invalid, changed, mismatched, or out-of-sync configuration. Read the reason shown beneath the status.

Update one product

  1. Choose the row action

Use Edit for a configured product, Review for a row that Needs attention, or Re-enable for a disabled product.

  2. Review both amounts

Set the desired MAP Price and Customer Price. MAP Price must be positive and Customer Price must be lower. Saving MAP Price also changes the configured Shopify variant's regular price.

  3. Review Discount access, if shown

Keep Everyone or choose Logged-in customers only as intended. This field appears after customer access controls are enabled in Settings.

  4. Choose Save

Wait for progress to finish. Look for Saved, the success summary, and the resulting PriceWrench Status.

Edit several visible rows

  1. Filter before opening Edit all

Search or filter to the products you intend to change, then choose Edit all to open those rows for editing.

  2. Change only the intended fields

Enter each product's values individually. Edit all opens fields; it is not a percentage-rule builder or a one-click catalog-wide adjustment.

  3. Review Save N Changes

The save count is based on changed products in the current filtered list. Clear filters and inspect the full table if you want to review all outstanding edits before saving.

  4. Check each result

Use Save N Changes once and wait for Saving prices progress. A message such as saved · needs attention means the batch had mixed results. Inspect failed rows and Activity history before retrying only the unresolved changes.

Disable a product's discount

  1. Open More actions

On the product row, open the three-dot More actions menu and choose Disable pricing.

  2. Read the confirmation

The dialog explains that customers will stop receiving PriceWrench pricing and that the Shopify variant price will not be changed.

  3. Confirm or cancel

Choose Disable pricing to proceed, or Cancel to leave it active. After saving finishes, confirm the row is Disabled.

Re-enable and verify

If saving reports that a variant changed while saving, reload before retrying. The server disables discount eligibility before updating prices, so an interrupted save may leave pricing disabled even if the Shopify price changed.

  1. Choose Re-enable

Find the disabled row and open it for editing.

  2. Review retained values

Confirm the intended MAP Price, Customer Price, and access rule. Do not assume old values are still appropriate after other Shopify edits.

  3. Save and check checkout

Choose Save, wait for completion, and verify the configured variant's storefront and checkout result again.
