Upload prices and review activity
Prepare a spreadsheet, review matches, save the resulting drafts, and distinguish uploads from completed pricing updates.
What you’ll accomplish
You can import a controlled set of prices, confirm which products actually saved, and download an export snapshot.
Before you start
- Have a CSV or XLSX file with clear product titles or first-variant SKUs.
- Know the intended MAP and Customer prices and have room in your plan for any new activations.
- Keep a copy of the current saved prices before a large change.
Start with a safe spreadsheet
Export the current saved prices
On Home, choose Export Prices to download an XLSX snapshot. The export uses the product list, not just the currently filtered rows, and does not capture unsaved field edits.
Use the template if starting fresh
Choose Upload Prices, then Download CSV template. The template includes Title, SKU, Shopify Price, MAP Price, and Customer Price.
Enter plain numeric values
Use up to two decimals with no currency symbols or thousands separators. MAP Price must be positive and Customer Price lower. Shopify Price is reference-only and is not imported as an edit.
Keep identifiers unambiguous
Include the correct title and first-variant SKU. Matching is case-insensitive against either SKU or title. Avoid duplicate identifiers and multiple spreadsheet rows for the same product.
Upload and review matches
Choose Upload Prices
Select one CSV or XLSX file. XLSX parsing uses the first worksheet, so put your pricing data there.
Wait for matching
The modal shows the file name and how many rows matched. Inspect Product, SKU, Shopify, MAP, Customer, and Match.
Correct unmatched or ambiguous rows
If a row is Not matched, check its SKU and title. Cancel and fix the file before continuing if matches or amounts are unclear.
Choose Apply prices
When the reviewed file is correct, Apply prices fills the matched MAP and Customer fields on Home.
Save the imported drafts
Inspect the Home table
After Apply prices closes the modal, review the populated product fields. Use Edit all if you need to open configured rows to inspect their draft values.
Clear filters to review all changes
The Save N Changes count is based on changed products in the current filtered list. Clear filters if you intend to inspect and save every imported change.
Choose Save N Changes
This is the live pricing update. Wait for Saving prices progress to finish. Do not treat the upload's matched count as a saved-product count.
Review unsuccessful rows
Correct row errors and retry the unresolved products. A batch may save some rows while others fail.
Check Activity history
Open Activity
Use Activity in the app navigation or Activity history beside the upload tools.
Choose an activity type
Filter to Pricing updates, Uploads, or Exports, or leave All activity selected.
Read status and summary together
Pricing update summaries say how many products saved and failed. Upload summaries say how many rows matched and were unmatched. Check Failure details for the reason and Started and Completed for timing.
Download an earlier export
Completed exports offer Download. These files contain the prices captured when the export was created, not the current live values.
Common spreadsheet problems
- CSV and XLSX are supported; XLS and other formats are not accepted by this upload flow.
- Legacy IMAP Price maps to MAP Price, and Selling Price maps to Customer Price. Prefer the current labels for new files.
- Canceling the upload before Apply prices records a failed upload with the reason that it was closed before application. It does not represent a failed Shopify price write.
- A numeric zero in an XLSX Customer Price cell may not populate because the current importer checks whether the value is truthy. If zero pricing is deliberate, inspect and enter 0 directly in the Home row before saving.
- If Export Prices reports that data is too large, the current exporter accepts at most 10,000 product rows. Contact support rather than assuming a partial file is complete.
