Read your PriceWrench analytics

Enable optional reporting and understand influenced revenue, savings, banner views, and the limits of each metric.

What you’ll accomplish

You can choose a reporting period and interpret sales and banner metrics without confusing them with guaranteed incremental revenue or individual conversion tracking.

Before you start

  • Open PriceWrench in Shopify Admin.
  • Have authority to approve the optional Shopify reporting permission if Analytics is not enabled.
  • Use a period that includes actual PriceWrench-discounted activity when checking sales metrics.

Enable reporting if you want it

  1. Open Analytics

Choose Analytics in the app navigation, or View Analytics from the Home performance panel.

  2. Choose Enable Analytics when shown

Shopify asks for reporting access. Review that permission before granting it. If you decline, Analytics remains off and product pricing still works.

  3. Choose a reporting period

Select Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, or All time. Home's compact PriceWrench Performance panel uses the last 30 days.

  4. Refresh when needed

Use Refresh for a new report. Recent activity can take a few minutes to appear in Shopify reporting.

Read the sales metrics

  • Revenue influenced is net merchandise revenue associated with PriceWrench pricing, including reported returns. It is not a claim that PriceWrench caused that revenue.
  • Orders with PriceWrench counts distinct orders with an original PriceWrench-discounted sale in the selected period.
  • Net customer savings is the discount delivered through PriceWrench pricing, less discounts reversed by returns.
  • Net discounted units is discounted units sold minus units returned in the selected period.
  • Home shows Active discounts in its fourth card; this means enabled, valid product pricing configurations.

Inspect product and order detail

  1. Review Product Performance

Each row represents one variant and pairs current prices with performance for the selected period. Rows are sorted by Revenue influenced.

  2. Avoid adding variant order counts

One order can include several variants. Adding their order counts can count the same order more than once.

  3. Check Recent PriceWrench Orders

This section shows up to 25 orders, ordered by their latest reported activity in the period. Read the net units, influenced revenue, and net savings alongside the activity date.

  4. Check tracking and refresh dates

Use Tracking since and Last refreshed, where shown, to understand the report's coverage and freshness.

Recover from a reporting problem

An empty report can simply mean no attributed orders exist in that period. Check a relevant date range and allow reporting time before treating an empty panel as a pricing failure.

  • If Shopify reporting is busy, wait a minute before refreshing.
  • If a report is too large, choose a shorter period.
  • If access is denied, check the app's Shopify reporting permissions and try again.
  • If Shopify's permission request cannot open, reopen the app from Shopify Admin.
  • If discount verification repeatedly fails, contact support with the message and selected reporting period.
