Understand your plan and billing status

Review product usage, manage your subscription through Shopify, and distinguish verification problems from cancellation.

Development preview. Steps are source-reviewed, not fully live-tested. Available app captures illustrate selected screens.

What you’ll accomplish

You know which plan and product allowance the app has verified, where to make a plan change, and what cancellation does.

Before you start

  • Open Plan & Billing for the correct Shopify store.
  • Have the store's required billing authority before approving subscription changes in Shopify.
  • Review the live Shopify terms and charges before accepting a plan.

Read Current plan

  1. Open Plan & Billing

The Current plan card shows the verified plan, status, subscription amount when available, and product usage.

  2. Review the product allowance

The reviewed app lists Basic with 50 pricing-enabled products, Growth with 500, and Scale with unlimited pricing-enabled products. Check the live page before making a purchase decision.

  3. Check the relevant date

The page may show Trial ends, Next subscription date, or Access and billing end depending on the verified subscription details.

  4. Read pending-plan messages

If an Upcoming plan is shown, current limits remain in effect until Shopify applies the change.

In this test-store capture, Basic is active and 10 of 50 product slots are used. The displayed $0/month is this store’s subscription amount, not the standard plan price; review live charges in Shopify.

Manage a plan through Shopify

  1. Review Compare plans

Compare the product allowance and listed features. The app's reviewed display prices are $19/month for Basic, $39/month for Growth, and $79/month for Scale; Shopify's live approval page is the final place to review applicable charges and terms.

  2. Choose Manage plan on Shopify

This opens the Shopify-managed plan flow. View plans on Shopify in the comparison cards leads to the same plan-management destination.

  3. Review and approve deliberately

Check the plan, amount, currency, recurring commitment, timing, and terms shown by Shopify before approving.

  4. Return and verify

After the Shopify flow, reopen Plan & Billing and check the verified plan and status. A pending or unavailable verification message is not confirmation that the new entitlement is active.

Understand verification messages

If verification or usage is temporarily unavailable, you can still use Manage plan on Shopify. Avoid repeatedly approving subscriptions to clear a status message. Review Shopify's actual subscription and contact support if the mismatch persists.

  • Active: the app has verified an active subscription.
  • Cancels at end of billing cycle: renewal cancellation is recorded while current access continues to the displayed end.
  • Verification temporarily unavailable: existing pricing is preserved until the displayed cutoff, and new activations are paused.
  • No active subscription verified: saved configuration is preserved, but an active plan must be verified for pricing edits.
  • Subscription verification unavailable: the app cannot currently establish the status. This message does not prove that the subscription ended.

Cancel future renewal when intended

  1. Choose Cancel subscription

This action appears for an active verified plan.

  2. Read Cancel subscription?

The dialog explains that future renewal will be canceled, that access remains until Shopify ends the current contract, and that the existing product limit continues until then.

  3. Choose your action

Keep subscription closes the dialog without canceling. The destructive Cancel subscription action confirms the request.

  4. Check the result

Return to the Current plan status and any Access and billing end date. If an error appears, resolve it before assuming cancellation completed.
